MUTHAAAFFUUU$$%%^%^'ER damn.....
I went down .... im ashamed to say i was making a right turn at about 60 ish.... at night and some aashole had dropped a quart of castrol GTX 10 w 30 at the intersection(i found the crushed bottle) and aonther car had ran it over. so needless to say my front end washed out and i went full left then back right then my *** end started to drift and i jumped off turning left after i figured out that i was not gonna be able to save it. (this all happened in about .6 seconds) the bike was the lucky one .. heheh i landed on the median
with my hip and ribs..i walked away and drove the bike home after i got my breath back ****** hurt... worst part my wife was following behind me in the car so now she is scared shitless of the bike etc .....but nothing is broken but i have not been able to walk or really move for the last 7 or days im up and around now but damn of the stupid *** ways to get
put down..... ill throw up some pics or the bike lemme go take em be right back hehehe
All i gotta say is Thank god i had my helmet and gear on and the best 40 bucks i ever spent on that bike was for frame sliders saved me hundereds of $$$ on that one
Thank you trinity012 for the sliders they do work.....

Three cheers for you that you didn't break any bones or total your bike. In three+ decades of riding, my greatest fear has always been coming around a corner at night and hitting some ******** ladder, sofa or refrigerator. During daylight I figure I'd either see it in time or in traffic see cars swerving to aviod whatever is in the road.

Yeah.. glad you're (relatively) ok...
Now.. that is my biggest fear: coming through and intersection (Stop light where cars sit stopped for a few minutes dripping oil) hitting the oil, and sliding.. Or hitting some slightly wet spot at those places when it JUST starts raining...

A crash at 60 could have been a lot worse for you and the bike. I'd say someone was looking out for you, but it probably doesn't feel that way right now. Take it easy, the body always seems to heal slower than the will wants it to.

Glad to hear you're o.k. I had a similar thing happen about 8 years ago on my Ducati 907. It was a trash truck being towed that leaked at least an 1/8th mile of hydraulic fluid. Back then I paid $$$hundreds on a jacket w/ armor, which I thought was too expensive, but when I walked away with only a few bumps and bruises I was grateful. One positive thing was that I was able to get a custom paint job, carbon fiber slip ons and a new helmet from the insurance company.

Glad you didn't break hard parts (on yourself anyway). I think the worst part is your wife seeing it....at least it would be for me. I get enough grief just owning the bike in the first place. If she ever saw me have an accident, I'd never hear the end of it.
Speedy recovery! My bruised rib took about 6 weeks to stop hurting.

LOL.... well, I really need em!
You'd be shocked how much stuff people still have laying around. I once found a 2 year old post for a dirtbike for sale, in a local forum, got ahold of the guy, he said he still wanted to sell it, so I bought it
