craigslist motor rebuilt ads

What is it with the craigslist sellers?

This past week I have seen so many bikes that have less than 15K on them but the "engine has been rebuilt".

What do you have to do to make an engine fail with that low of mileage?

Lack of oil or coolant, pushing the motor past redline. What explains these low mileage engine rebuilt bikes? Can people really be that stupid?

Years ago I had an early '70s Triumph Bonneville, and all you had to do with that to require a rebuild was ride it for more than two hours on a hot day.

yep. it's amazing how little care some people give to their bikes. they flog the heck out of them and then wonder why something breaks.
