And that's why in my prime racing days I never felt the need to do the IOM!

Thanks for sharing. Another awesome IOM vid to add to the list. Most appropriately named sport on earth-these guys have to drive front end loaders to the track so they can bring their balls with them.

Cutthroat racing on a narrow band of tarmac with compromised sightlines and no run off! It's too insane to watch.

Well... From standing by the track more than once, I can tell you that their defenition of "rain" might differ from for instance MotoGP...
When they called the race for rain, I was long since throughly soaked ... The guys mereley pinned the throttle and kept going... "It's just a 'moist track' with a wee bit of wet", was the general consensus... Rain in their language means a small river across the road from a decent sized torrential downpour... What I'd call a "wet track", they call "moist"... And what I'd call "flooded", they'd reluctantly agree on being "wet" if you pushed the issue...
But it's true, there is a lot of footage there from the 500's... And no, the Irish aren't much more sane than the IOM locals... The defenitions are about the same, only given with even less understandable dialect...
