Nicky announces...

Taken from the MotoGP website.

Nicky Hayden has confirmed that he has not been retained by Ducati Team for the 2014 MotoGP™ season. The former World Champion revealed the news during Thursday’s pre-race press conference at Laguna Seca.

Hope he can get back up front like Vale!!

So what do ya think, who gets the kiss of death spot left? Cal?

I have tremendous respect for Nicky Hayden. He's tough, fast and has shown more loyalty to Ducati than the marque deserves. I wish that there were a ride available for him in 2014 that would allow him to get back onto the podium.

I read something about Nicky going to WSBK but for whom I don't know! There's also the one about him going to Gresini because Honda is not satisfied with Bradil's progress. Course ther's also the one that has Crutchlow going to Gresini. Probably a fun couple of weeks ahead!

The fact of the matter is CAl is doing better on a Tech3 than either of the factory Ducati's, so why he would go there is curious!

Agree totally. He's on fire right now and I see him on a factory ride, where I dunno.

nnjhawk02 is an unknown quantity at this point
1st I'm a NH fan, but he's not been in the top for many a season, for various reasons, mostly the moto isn't up to snuff.

Also, I really think weight has a part of this. The Spanish guys are like horse jockeys, see M2 & that Buddy ****** Pedrosa (See I'm a Nicky fan). Nicky is easy 25 to 35 lbs heavier than them, if not more.

There should be a weight basis, thoughts?
