Isle of Man TT--man o man!

This is the most insane thing I've seen. I can't believe the Brits do this.
On this side of the pond there's no way an event like this would ever go down.

That first wreck was upsetting, I know that nearly every inch of that race is unforgiving with no gravel run outs or large areas of flat surface if a get-off was to happen, But I have huge respect for those who compete in that race... I know i will never have the guts to do that. But I do dream about it. Quite a bit. Nice video find!

I've followed the Isle of Man TT since I was a child, it was the Race I grew up understanding was THE RACE, the riders and racers I was around, the tracks I hung at with them and I aspired to be part of.. It was a dream, I still have, knowing, it is and always will be just that. I was, never will be that good...Isle of Man TT, US GP, and a select few other races, tracks, venues.. I can watch a video of them being ridden many times over, and never tire of it. See something new each time a scene is replayed.

Last year Guy Martin came off and survived the following, as he was lying in the road he was asking the medics not to cut his leathers off, as they were expensive! Balls of steel!! If you get the chance watch TT3d Closer to the edge. It is the best TT movie I have seen. The trailer on youtube gives an idea TT3D : Closer To The Edge official trailer - YouTube

Not just Brits, and prolly more Irishmen than Brits. Here's another vid- on board with Guy Martin.

And speaking of Irishmen, here's Joey Dunlop in 1983

The bike tuners must be dam good too.

If you're completely airborne and land at 160mph -you better have enough compression to stop your fork trail from being reduced into a tank slapper then a high side....yikes.

I've posted before that one of you guys OVER THERE should put together some sort of package for those of us OVER HERE. I'd fly over for the TT if I knew there was someone to, kind of, guide me in the process. Point "A" to point "B" if you will. I'd even be happy with a ride along in a car, no bike necessary.

Incredible trailer! The guy who taught me how to ride (one of my former Indian flight students who now runs ADV Riding trips over in India) has been to the Isle of Man and watched it live. He always used to tell me about it, how crazy it was and dangerous. If anyone is seriously considering going to watch it I can gather some info for you from my buddy. Advice and what not. Just PM me and I will pass along any questions you have.
