Tittle says it all. This is a hand made bike with option of power plant.
Italian design with big twin American power. Once again, this is a love
hate relationship. I'm more on the love side.

Nothing there to hate. It's a motorcycle. All motorcycles are cool and those are super cool.
That said it looks like they are in the "if you have to ask you can't afford it" price range.

Perhaps if you could tell us specifically, in accordance to industry standard why the bike pictured in the OPs post is not a Cafe Racer.. we may actually concur with your opinion and learn something new...

Please post a link to the Motorcycle industry standard that defines a "Cafe Racer" and then point out why the bike in the link above differs from that standard.

And for the record, the three bikes pictured in your post,,, are in my opinion, great examples of what I envision when someone says "Cafe Racer"

I also thought the company name alone was pretty self explanatory. I guess not to some people, they just need to be smarter then the rest of us.

Well, since they are in Europe (italy to be more exact)... I guess you can call them cafe' racers. But here in the ol 'USofA, if using a HD power plant, it will continue to be a HD.

Maybe all that cat0020 meant by "real café racers" was owner modified bikes made closer to the era in which the café racer style began. While there might have been some friendly ribbing in his comment, I am unable to detect any smugness. Thanks to Jack Flash for posting the link to the video.

Cafe Racer is all about getting rid of clutter and weight. Clean and simple. Built to go fast and handle well on a budget. I would compare that bike to a new v-max or v-rod. It has more cruiser than sport.

There are two bikes there, the "DUU" and the "VUN". I much prefer the latter. It's build on the BMW/Rotax F650 engine and weighs 140kg/308lb. That'd be pretty fun and definitely in the spirit of a Cafe' racer, which will change as the bikes available to build them from do, just as hot-rodding has changed from V-8 American stuff to FWD Japanese cars (I prefer the former there..).

I never thought I could get excited about a CX500. That thing is cool.

Café racer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I love why the term was originally coined

Gotta love Wikipedia! As a cafe racer from the 70's I only see the last 3 as true " Cafe Racers" especially the CB350..waycool!

Actually there is a cable tv show called "Cafe Racer" that really handles this topic well and has truly outstanding conversions, including a CX500 in last episode.
