the torque would be freeking insane/ those electric hub motors put out an absurd amount of foot pounds. It's kind of like the Segway's older, cooler brother who banged the prom queen.

I'd wait in line for days for that to come off the assembly line..

Only thing I'd worry about is the "gawk" factor.. rubber neckers.. or the low profile it has making it hard to see in other motorists views..

Until you hit something in the road or an oncoming idiot target fixates into you.

I've always liked the sci-fi/fantasy devices on the cover of Pop Sci and other magazines, but one crash too many make the bones ache when there isn't protection somewhere important.

I remember reading this interview with the suzuki president at the time (may be over 15 years ago now). And he was fascinated by the differences between how a fast big cat moved vs. a motorcycle. So to slow down the animal leans back to shift weight rearward actively, whereas the bike leans forward passively. To speed up the cat leans low and forward, whereas the bike leans back passively. Leaning was the only thing similar. He went on to envision ways to design bikes to be more actively suspended according to the action desired. maybe this is an example of that thinking.

That thing is sick! I want one in flat black. I'd prefer a more H.R. Giger look than the iRobot look. I'd probably just get run over by an 18 wheeler that didn't see me in the road though.
