Ducati reveals the 2013 Hypermotard range
Just hours before its official launch at the 2013 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy, Ducati has revealed an all-new Hypermotard. First launched in 2007, the Hypermotard was a big success for Ducati. The new version is powered by an all-new liquid-cooled 821cc Testastretta 11 V-twin engine, producing 110 bhp @ 9250 rpm and 90 Nm of torque. All versions of the new Hypermotard come standard with high tech features such as Ride-by-Wire (RbW), Ducati Traction Control (DTC), ABS, and the all-important Riding Mode Selector, as on the Multistrada, Diavel and the 1199 Panigale.
The range consists of the Hypermotard, the Hypermotard SP and the Hyperstrada. The Hypermotard SP adds three-spoke forged wheels, a recalibrated Riding Mode Selector, Marzocchi front forks, Ohlins rear mono-shock, and some carbon-fibre bits, while the Hyperstrada variant offers touring additions such as side panniers, wind deflector, centre stand, wider seat, sump guard, auxillary power outlets, a beefed-up generator and extended front and rear mud guards. The new Hypermotard range is expected to go on sale in early 2013. |
