CR700P Rotary engine

Rotary Motorcycle

Holey Moley! I love those engine numbers, especially for a 700cc engine. The engine name is pretty cool. Gotta love rotory engines

I wonder what the "pressurized gas cooling system" is all about?

EDIT: As long as we are talking about really neat motorcycles, check this out Ducati V-One.

From the look of that frame(and bike over all) I say its actually a Norton modified by those guys, still though, those are some sweet numbers.

You watch the video? Damn! That engine sounds like a Indy car :) I love the rider's comment afterwards haha

Yes.

Looked into the company and it is a modded Norton two rotary system.

F*ing quick :p at 200hp with 135kg this would destroy any Inline 4 or V twin production bike, come on get it certified for street use and produce them

The sound of that engine... love it..... almost like the two stroke race bikes, also reminds me a bit the RG250 with a deeper sound.

Not! Last month I helped a co-worker start tear down of his rx-8 engine. Unbelievable gummed up carbon buildup like I've never seen before. Looked like black tar and there was lots of it. Seals were toast @ less than 100k miles. Apex and side seals make this design vulnerable [long term].

I had a Suzuki RE-5 rotary motorcycle. Worst motorcycle to keep running right. But torque like a tractor.

I never said they were reliable. Haha

RX8 is the worst example, RX7 motors was so much better but regardless its apex seals are its down fall.

Mazda is the only one to get them close to long term reliability. Unfortunately close still isn't good enough.

Rotary bike

I've road raced a Mazda RX-7 for quite a few years now. They can be quite reliable with many cars getting up to 50+ hrs on a race motor with no tear downs. The problem they have is they make an ENORMOUS amount of heat. I can see this as an issue due to the size of radiator these bikes are limited to. Hell of a motor with big numbers though!
