BMW R90 concept

I think Roland Sands is really talented-sometimes his wheels and stuff can be a little too "blingy" for me but I thought this was pretty darn cool...

I like it, not sure I could ride it for more than 50 miles at a pop,but I like it.

Awesome design.

I actually lived during the R 90 S, R 100 RS era, owned and rode them both. The concept was "Gentleman's Express". They were fast, smooth, comfortable and anvil simple to work on. Handsome bikes with built in luggage and a supporting parts supplier, Luftmeister, that allowed one to fine tune the parameters of the bike to personal preference.

This thing, the R 90 concept bike, is an exercise in corporate 'lookatme' while disregarding the eventual owner who would have to live with the unit. No allowance for personal wrenching, misses the mark for all day mile eating and aestically is closer to a George Lucas stage set rather than a nod to '70s artistic effort.

Sure, while looking at one in metal I'll say "Way Cool", but the checkbook will remain closed.

Agreed... Looks cool, and I'd like to take one for a spin... But I'd never consider owning one... I have an original R90S sitting around that needs fresh tires, but other than that ready to ride... I'd take that one every day of the week... ;)
