BMW is going production with inline 6
time will tell if it makes it into a version that highlights the engine more. But nearly 4 inches narrower than any bike 6 engine before is pretty impressive. If its like their M3 straight 6 engines it should be a very smooth setup.

Obviously much narrower than a CBX, and BMW has always been good at keeping the center of gravity low. But what I noticed was the torque. I went out to my garage to check my torque conversion chart....175 Nm is almost 130 foot pounds, almost double the SuperHawk, with 90 ft. lbs. from 1500 rpm. I wonder how much the finished package is going to weigh.
Inline 6 = perfect primary balance. |
Good find Bill ;)
