Will 929 Brake Lines Work?

I just picked up a complete front brake set up from a 2000 CBR 929. I was hoping I could bolt the whole set up on my bike without removing the lines. Are the lines long enough to fit?

I'm gonna say no. The SH has long legs so it needs long lines. Take some measurements. If its close then it probably won't work cause the forks have to extend as well. Take some measurements. If you have to switch lines it'll be a good time to bleed them and maximize your performance. Bleeding makes a big difference. Good luck!

Measure them and see. They might be a bit too short.
You're going to have to grind some material off the calipers anyway (unless it's already been done), so you might as well disassemble the whole system

Thanks for the help guys, I think for now I will leave the stock SH lines in place & bolt everything else up with a good bleed. I will ride it for a while & see how it feels, if I don't like it I will just grab some stainless lines.

I just did this a month ago. The answer I received is that the 929 forks are 2" shorter than the SH, so no, the 929 brake lines should be too short.

A good bleed, and you will love the new brakes.

You will only need to remove a little bit of material from the upper mounting ear, and the calipers will slide right on.
