Wheels

Has anyone ever tried a 16" front off an early Fireblade on their Superhawk.
What with all these folks running spacers under the rear shock to aid 'turn in' , wouldn't a 16" wheel do just that.
Is it a good idea, i am interested in peoples opinions on this.

I had an '84 500 Interceptor. It had a 16in wheel. I had it for 12 years and 36k. I think, in hindsight, that a 17in would have been better. Always turned a bit quicker than I liked.

17" gives you the ultimate selection for tires.

+1 and there is also a reason that 16" front wheels (even on the track where they have run 16.5" wheels for a while now) went the way of "anti-dive" front ends.

They may sound good, but in practice they just don't work that well. ;)
