Swingarm Swap w/rear shock

2 Attachment(s)
I've got a question about mounting a new rear shock. The stock rear shock as 2 bolts through it's eyes which I think are 10mm bolts (I figure) and my new shock has 1/2 inch eyes/barrings, so my question is would it be better to go with new 1/2 bolts and drill linkage out to fit or should I use spacers to fill the gap left in the eyes of the aftermkt shock and use stock 10mm bolts?

Thanks in advance for your help,

decided to go with steel spacers found at ACE Hardware and cut down to size, but now I've got to get bushings to stop the shock ends from sliding around on the spacers/bolts at the eyes...

Should I go with metal or rubber bushings???

I'd go with metal... as rubber would flex under load... which is what you want the shock to absorb, not some wimpy bushing.
