Swingarm

I'm looking for a swing arm for my 98 SuperHawk. Something that looks a little cooler than stock . Any Ideas ? I've seen pix of some Hawks with swingarms , but have no luck finding anything on the net.

Have you searched this site? There should be plenty of info on swingarm swaps and adding braces.

Dont you need a donor brace? where do you get the brace?

If a stock swingarm is sent to you....... What is the cost, for your FAB work?

I have a ? did I see a braced swingarm photo on here somewhere that had the brace on the bottom side of the swingarm. Reason I ask is I have a nice hugger on mine and would still like to use it if I decide not to go with the sp2 2nd generation swingarm mod.

Thanks

Well, from the looks of that image, I'd say it came from a stock alu tube, so no you wouldn't need one... ;)

Well... I think that's just a function of how much nice beer you feed Little_Horse before sending him out to the shop with the welder... ;)

Seriously though, there are no difference in strength/performance... Might need to have threads welded on for spools though, as using a stand without spools will become a real PITA with a brace on the bottom...

Now that I have things figured out on how to get it done and still allow clearance for the caliper I would charge $115 + shipping for basic fab work which is what is pictured if it needs to be polished I would need to charge a little more. The way it is done in the picture above is ready for powder coating so none of the smaller sanding marks are removed. Oh and yes I made it from scratch.

Oh and the stock link and the stock exhaust pipe pose a pretty nasty opposition to mounting it under that was the first thing I looked into in an attempt to still use the oem brake assembly.
