sp1/2 seat
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum so I will introduce myself soon!
This has probably been posted before but can't seem to find it, Just wanted to know if the SP1/Sp2 seat and rear end will fit to the VTR1000f (Firehawk) subframe? any help would be greatly appreciated. |
Greetings
Anything can be made to fit using Honda special thwack tool http://www.bartcop.com/jpg/012ham.jpg |
That is definately the multi function tool.
Another person from sunny england, i work in colchester!! |
Small world! How long have you had your Storm? Any pics?
As for the tail piece, never heard of anyone fitting an SP1/2 unit. R1 tail has been transplanted If you want a more sportier seat , check out cliby's post 11 https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=20633 The seat is from Mario Nava in Italy http://web.tiscalinet.it/mario_nava/vtr1000_e.html |
Yeah I know what you mean mate I live down the road in Stowmarket. Cheers for the links - very helpful.
I have had my Bike for 3 Days! Now stripped in my garage with a few special parts on order, it was a bit of a dog when i got it but was cheap. Wanted a winter project so going to do lots of the work myself and hopefully should be ready and looking nice for next year! |
It's been done a couple of times...
It seems the easiest way is to get a SP subframe and make two plates to adapt the holes for the frame mounts... Doing it the other way means custom making all mounts/lock for the seats... |
Cheers Tweety, I have got my eye on a Duke 916 rear end now seen as i am going to have to change the subframe might as well go for something different?!
|
Heh... a 916 rear end is one of the few that haven't been done yet as far as I know... Go for it!
But I still can't figure out why people change them... That's one thing on my bike that stays as stock... (I gotta have some parts stock so I can still call it a VTR...;) ) |
The rear end of the SH looks weird IMO, especially the seat.
|
Not when you have the cowl on there... ;)
Admittedly I rarely see the rear end of mine... I just like it to look nice for all others... |
I quite like the rear end on the SH but i bought one which needs replacing, as this is my winter project i thought i would try something a bit different, and I love the old skool look of the Duke rear end!
