Silly question on Coerce fork brace
 

I went to install my new Coerce fork brace, & couldn't figure out which way to orient it. One edge is straight across & the other edge has a V shape. I thought that there might be something obvious that would make it only mount one way, but it looks like it could work either way. Looking at the packaging for directions didn't help, there were no drawings or photos & all the words are in Japanese. Is it just a matter of personal preference?

I just received mine yesterday. No Instructions at all.
