Setting the sag

Hey guys! I've been reading through old posts for hours now and i can't find any that explain how to set the sag. I'm trying to get my bike ready for the track... however, the suspension seems a bit off key. I weigh about 200 lbs. Any suggestions for good suspension settings at that weight??? Oh... and can someone please explain to me how to set the sag.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Setting the sag

There's a great book called "Total Control" by Lee Parks, It not only has how to set sag but it's full of really great tips on everything having to do with sportbike riding. Hope that helps.

I did not see this anywere but I know that when we set up off-raod bikes we set the rear spring first because it is prevalent. Does it matter which spring that I set on my Shawk first? I would guess the front but I do not know.

Sag doesn't matter which end is set first. Shoot for 30-35mm front and 25-30mm rear for street. Subtract 5mm for track. Always set the front damping first then set the rear to match the front.
