Removing Charcoal Canister

Hi guys. I'm in the process of installing a few new goodies and I'd really like to remove that charcoal canister. Is there anything special I need to do or know before removing it? ... or can I simply take it off??

Thanks

But...but...
If you take that charcoal canister off you'll be killing millions of people! :rotf:
And...Arnold will come to pay you a visit!

actually I meant I was going to help my friend take his off...yeah thats it...my friend;)

You mean your friend on his off road use only track bike, yes? And you'll save it in case he ever needs to ride in on the street so you can reinstall it. There that's better.

Blahh...right....

Of course, I would never...I mean HE would never think about doing this to a street bike. Track only!

So anyway, does anyone have any info about doing this??

Sorry we're supposed to be here for more than smart ass remarks right? I googled "superhawk charcoal canister" and there were a couple post here and there for ours and several other bikes. Doesn't seem to be an issue just have to plug up any open lines after you take it off. Having said I have no personal experience with it as I live in Florida where you could run your car on nitromethane and no one cares because there's no emissions anything here.

I was told not to plug any lines, but add T's and the and then a cheap breather filter from an auto parts store.
