as a base line...stock filter and D&D's with elevation right around 500 feet normally

what jet size, clip position should I give a shot?

Well, I just double checked the jetting on mine last night, when putting the bike back together, and my Factory kit is 190 rear, 185 front 48 pilots. Didn't check the needles though... sorry. Not much help there. Same city as you though.:lol:

182F/185R, needles on 3rd from top, stock #45 pilots, mixture screws 2.25 turns out should work for you, or at least get you reallllllly close.
