RC Brake Swap – Thanks All
I just completed my front brake swap and would like to thank everyone on the forum for posting information regarding it!!!! I would have never known about it nor tried it without all the positive feedback. BTW- I Love It, that is the way breaks are supposed to feel! I am so looking forward to the next track day at Mid-Ohio.

Did you do front and rear or just front? I'm looking to do the same thing and wonder if swapping out the rears is worth while.
|
No need to do anything to the rear, it is plenty powerful as is, unless you plan on attempting to lock it up at speed.......
|
no point in swapping out rear at all

I'll take your word for it :)

I did it more then several times with the original tires and got it squirrelly at about 70mph (saw a cop ahead hehe) and even with the pilot powers dragged it a few times. My foot doesn't come close to the rear brake these days though

No09,
You still lurk here? I used to have a shawk as well! See ya over at Speedzilla! Matthew |
Just did the fronts and just updated the rears with pads and a S.S. braded line. Not really necessary considering the majority of your stopping power is in the front anyway. Personally I like the nice progressive feel on the rears the way they arenow so there would be no need for more power. On the street I pretty much just use compression breaking and the fronts to slow down, track days are pretty much the only time I really work the rears.
