oil cooler swap

Ok did a quick search but could not find anything. My question, has anybody attempted swapping the VTR oil cooler with one from a RC51? Reason, the RC51 has four rows vs two on the VTR's. From pictures i've seen, the connections look the same & mounting points are close.

I am running a cooler from an EX400 ATV (same as RC-51, although I forget if SP-1 or 2). I had to have it modded as one of the inlet is angled at 45 degrees and is therefore problematic. I had it turned to parallel at a rad shop and it has been on my bike ever since, and that was five or so years ago....

Hi
I have an SP (RC51) oil cooler fitted to my FireStorm race bike. From memory it was not too difficult, slight mods to mounts to give clearance to the rad hose.

I've got a 400EX cooler and the mounting for the hoses are the same. They are angled so it requires some tweaking to the lines to make it fit, but not much of a deal there.

I am running a zx-7 cooler. Works wonders. This pic show the size difference. The bike keeps its cool in 101* city traffic jams.
