Jet KIts?

What type of jet kit should i go with for a 97 hawk that is stock with a k&n filter with potential of putting pipes on it down the road. Factory or dynojet?

FWIU - Factory kits are easier to tune while DJ kits are more precise.

Inderocker's right, but once I got my Dynojet tuned in, my '99 runs mean. Add the pipes and you'll be real pleased...

i wouldn't start messing with it until you get the pipes. you'll have to yank the carbs enough just to get it right, then have to start over once you uncork the backside.

imo - just shim the needle for now.

Yeah, you're right. In did 'em both at the same time, but I do remember alot of carb fussing, and it seems to me we went real fat by the time it was done...

Still not as fast as one with more miles and a Factory kit though! :nana:

I agree, don't jet until you get the exhaust unless you want to do it all over again.
