Hindle Exhaust

What does the forum generally think of their exhaust for the VTR 1K

They do make some good stuff for other bikes , just kinda curious about the cans for the VTR

People I have talked to thnik that their stuff is junk. It is inexpensive compared to others, but remember you get (or regret) what you pay for.

Hindle is one of the best bang for the buck deals you can get on exhaust. The design is generally simple, but solidly built. They don't do much R&D for specific bikes but the Superhawk isn't a really powerful bike anyway, and you're not going to get a whole lot more power out of an exhaust and jetting. I dyno'd 102 stock and 110 with Hindle, K&N, and proper jetting. 25000 miles later (at 35000) I still ran 104 but with a different dyno and weather conditions. Stay away from carbon fiber. The twins will tear it up after 5000 miles. Go with Ti or Al. I like my Hindles and am considering getting one for the 1000RR if the price is right.

Thanks for the feedback .

Are they using a internal straight through perforated tube or is it a spiral core like the Two Bros ?

Hindle is the only exhaust I have ever owned(until I bought the VTR which came with Yosh cans), and their exhausts are well made, and very light.

as far as being junk, or not producing top power, check out the last 3 exhaust tests by sport rider(94IIRC, 99, and 04). Hindle was at the top in all three tests powerwise, and had bearable sound levels. The closest competetors were Acropovic and Muzzy(very loud), both costing almost double that of the hindle.

BTW, my 4-2-1 Hindle for my 86 GSXR1100 weighed 8lbs complete.

Yeah I like the Brock-Hindle pipe for the GSF 1200S . Since I'm keeping my Bandit one of those is next on the to do list along with some real carbs .

I wish we could get real carbs for the Super Hawks :P

I have Hindle exhaust on my 82750F and everybody comments on the sweet sound. Lots of character but no too loud.
