Futurestorm
My dream of building one with a front swinger is closer...
I just got a spare rear swingarm. Use the castings end off that, cut the frame up, use the main beams as swingarm spars (they have the right curve to allow a decent steering angle inside the swinger and are the same extrusion as the swingarm-mine is a 2002 Firestorm).
Build this into a chromoly trellis chassis (similar to that other very nice monoshock front end, but with a front swinger)
Now all I need is a spare frame to molest... er... modify
Looking at using OEM CBR600RR 2007 shocks a both ends. Cheap, available and quite good. And CBR600 wheels. Lighter than the stockers. Front will have to have the middle milled out to allow the new hub to be welded in, for the centre hub steering.
Engine will be very stock, CCT's and (possibly) adjustable cam sprockets, and a tidy up of the porting.
Now to get me a milldrill and lathe, so I'm not borrowing dads all the time... Its just the financial situation thats holding me back
