Please, what year it must be CBR RR? I just know that it must be 900 RR. Thanks
|
Well since the CBR 900RR was made in 93-95 I'd say it's likely those years... 96-99 it was officially named CBR 919RR and then in 00-01 CBR 929RR, 02-03 CBR954RR... Dunno for sure either way but the 919RR and the 900RR might be the same?
Keep in mind though that the front needs to be an CBR 600F3... |
I think a rear wheel from a 900RR/Fireblade up to and including 99 will do....
|
Why wont an f2/f3 rear wheel work?
|
Can't say for sure since I haven't researched it, but either it's untested, as in might work, but you get to try it out...
Or some of the dimensions like axle size or width at the axle or sprocket carrier or... makes it not fit... Or it's visually not the same? |

Well I hope it wont be too hard. I have done cbr f3/f3 wheel swaps onto the old 1986 vfr. Had to make spacers , but after that it worked ok. g
|
Okay Squid needs assitance with wheel interchange...

https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...-wheels-22546/ my question is are there anymore options out there besides these? |
No, not really... Those wheels mentioned here are the one's that essentially just bolt on... Then there are aftermarket wheels which are becoming increasingly rare/expensive, and then you need to swap fork/swingarm to make other wheels fit...
|
Cool thanks for the help! (Just not a big fan of the 3 spoke SH wheels).
|
This tells you all you need to know and why you should by light wheels
Effects of Inerita its all about inertia :) hope that answers your questions |
The wheels swap works well up to 2011 CBR1000RR, along with the fork swap from 2006-2007 forks!
The only thing you got to remember is the size of rotors to match the caliper position depending on the year. As for the rear wheel, it does work as well and you loose whole 5 pound compare to the stock wheel and gain half inch width in the same time, there are few more details and tricks to the rear wheel installation for this late model 2008-2011 CBR, but they all relatively easy. |
