Exhaust brands.
Well, just got my Hawk and I am kind of wanting to invest in some louder exhaust, eventually. I have seen several brands of exhaust that are available. My old VFR had a two brothers slip on. I liked how it sounded but thought I would check other pipes out. I will probably stick with slip on's since the majority of full exhaust is either A. Too high for me at the current time or B. Takes away the dual exhaust, which I like.
Any info anyone can give me about Jardine, Yoshimura, Leo Vince, and maybe other brands I missed? Thanks in advance. |
Viper race cans from www.flyncycle.com the shortys. loud as hell and like $420 with the two cans and mid pipe

I got the Two Bros. Carbon fiber exhaust cans, and they sound loud and authoratative. I always get compliments.
Also I setoff caralarms like crazy in Hoboken :evillaugh: |
I have Jardine's with the street baffle. My friend's Two Brothers sounded far deeper & better. He recently switched to MIGs. I still like the TBr sound the best.
I hear Leos sound good, but haven't seen any on a Super Hawk yet. |
My Yoshimura stainless slip ons are nice and mellow, and were a bargain when I bought them 7 years ago...

I have the wolf underseat exhaust, just like the one that is on ebay right now, and it is hella loud but sounds reeeeeealy good proportional to rpms. not annoying buzzing loud though, very throaty.

I got leo vince's. I like them alot. kind quiet at idle, but rev it up and it barks.

i got a pair of jardine RT-one's and love them. they came with the bike when i bought it and arent so loud that they make you deaf... but definately turn heads when you ride through town.
BTW... did jardine stop making the round cans? all i see these days are the ovals... any ideas? |
Thanks for the replies. I may look at getting the two brothers. Was thinking carbon fiber but a 400$ difference between them and the aluminum...maybe not. I am not all the worried about passengers burning their legs, since I won't be carrying any and I should be fine. Hopefully can look at getting them after tires.

I am looking at Hindle highmounts. I originally didn't want highmounts but they look so sweet and come with relocation kits for your passangers pegs so that's cool

Remus Grand Prix on my bike are very loud and throaty. I have driven next to a TBr and it wasn't as good sounding IMHO... $.02

I'm sure all are partial to their brand of exhaust. I've been running Blue Flame EVO's for about 5yrs. now & really satisfied. My reasoning on these pipes even though they were expensive ($895) for the pair, was that I had 4 different choices of sound level/perfomance. These cans also come with a lifetime warranty. To each his own, as they say. Good luck on whatever you buy.
