I just installed a set in the hawk. Track day in two weeks, so we'll see how they do. :)

:banghead:

Umm, yes.. they are made for the SH.. and yes I'd bet if you took the time to look you will find they fit other bikes using the same spec spring. But know, they are not a one size fit all Honda bikes part.

how exactly do these improve the clutch?

NCDave 02-17-2010 05:41 AM

Stiffer springs hold the clutch together and keep it from slipping under extreme throttle. I've noticed mine slip at the track.

so clutching up a wheelie will be more difficult because that relies on the slight slip of the clutch?

NCDave 02-17-2010 09:43 AM

I don't do wheelies, so I couldn't tell you for sure, but I'd think you would still be able to do that by controlling the clutch lever. My problem was coming out of turns hard on the throttle and shifting to the next gear. The bike would feel like it was sliding into the next gear and not getting a positive grip.

I just installed my Barnett springs this morning and boy does my clutch feel a lot better. The take off is a bit different, more solid actually. When I'm making the 1-2 shift it grabs so hard I like it a lot, even slipped it up a couple times and it went smoothly and grabbed hard. It was definitely worth the short money I paid for them a year ago.
