Then I switched the handlebars out for a set of dirt bike bars that I cut down a half inch on each side

Now Im halfway through painting it with black bedliner. So far Im liking the look. Im going to ride it tomorrow to burn off the half tank of fuel that I still have in it, then Im painting the rest. Let me know what you guys think so far... oh.. and I know the rim has a dent in it, Im ordering a new one as soon as I can.

Did mine few years ago, sold the bike:

BTW, I think there are already a few threads about converting VTRs to naked streetfighters.

Thumper is an unknown quantity at this point
I like the Flat Black, my brother changes all of his rides to matte or flat black look.

Nice job!

I love it.m was just considering this today. What did you do with all the wiring? Eliminate it?

Some of the wiring can be pulled back behind the frame and the headlight bucket can hold an absurd amount of wiring (I have all of the front end wires stuffed inside mine and mine is quite a bit more shallow than the light camel ninja is running).

Ok. I've been looking at a dual 5 3/4" headlight kit. There would be lots of space in there.

If I recall correctly, others have used bicycle computers for speedometers. I would not want to keep the stock gauge cluster.

Yeah. I'm actually running a bicycle computer as my speedometer. As far as the wires are concerned I actually hasn't moved any of them yet. I'm going to be adjusting them via tucking and hiding etcetera soon but what you see is what happens when you just bolt on a lamp and leave the wires where they are
