Front end usually refers to the whole setup from wheel through forks to triple tree. Are you referring to just the headlight?

With a bit of ingenuity, you can make any headlight work. There are also adapters out there which clamp onto your fork tubes.

ACerbis has a setup that is DOT legal. I'm considering doing the cyclops headlight upgrade.

Aluminum is actually quite easy to work with... Here's what I made. The headlight/gage support are held to the forks with 4 zip ties per fork tube. Its much more solid than you'd think.

I appricate the interest. Basically get yourself some good 954 or 929 forks including triple clamps and brake master cylinder. You can run the RC51 forks but they have smaller brakes. You can run a 929, 954, RC51 or 1000rr front fender. I liked the 1000rr fender best. The 1000rr fender will volt up perfectly but you will notice the two lower bolt holes won't be need. I just put a bolt through and a nut on the other side. You can run the 929/954/RC51 or tl1000 clip ons but I hightly recommend convertibars. They usually have sales in the winter if you can hold out. You might have a little trouble finding headlight brackets and might have to bend your own. I used a spare upper fork tube and a clamp to make mine. You can find aluminum stock and the headlight spacer at home depot. The headlights are universal 5 3/4" headlights available through most chopper shops. I used short stock signals as bracket bolts to kill two birds with one stone and they look pretty slick. Mounting the cluster takes a little time. Get yourself some 1/8"x1" aluminum and cut/drill/bend yourself some brackets. The bar end mirrors are just standard 7/8" units. Usually the more you spend the better they are. I've actually thought about drilling out my perches and running standard 10mm srew on mirrors. If you are running a front mounted radiator you will definately want to move the oil cooler. I mounted mine behind the front header pipe near the starter. I also upgrade to a mitsubishi montero cooler. haha, I know... but it works great. You can get the fittings at a local industrial hose shop. I used a 1st gen cbr600 radiator and an '04 1000rr filler neck but I think an even better setup would be a CB600F Hornet radiator and the filler neck is built in. If you do run the cbr radiator you will have to trim the front fender, make sure to mount it as clear of the front wheel and lower triple as possible, and its also a good idea to pound an indention right where the tire might hit. Just don't go too close to the first core.

I weigh about 175 and I'm about 2 turns out on the compression and 1.5 out on the rebound. I use Mobil1 full synthetic trans fluid which is 8w. My bike is about 30lbs lighter then stock and handles great.

Good luck. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Me, too.. I would like to see the closeup pics on mounting of your radiator.
I'm having hell of a time trying to fit the F3 radiator with teh oil cooler relocated elsewhere..
