Rearset Pegs

Anyone have rear set pegs? I'm looking in to getting some in order to increase ground clearance.

Re: Rearset Pegs

I have a set of Harris rear sets on my '98 and absolutely love them. :D They give the superhawk a much more agressive feel and greatly improve clearence. Not to mention they look great too, the Harris rear sets have about twenty differnet mounting holes so posistioning is completely adjustable to personal taste. The only problem is, you have to drop the swing arm to install them (any brand) but it only takes about an hour to do. If you're asking if I have any for sale sorry about the short novel but I found mine used on ebay and will never sell them. I've seen others that are new on there but hve no idea what they are like. Keep your eyes open to ebay and the for sale section of the forum.

I have a set of Gilles and they are a world better than the stock crap. I have mine in the upmost and farthest back position and it is amazing what it has done to the control of the bike and the smoothness of shifting. Installation was easy except for the swingarm issue, but you are going to have to deal with that regardless, be prepared because it is a real bitch.

I've had some Gilles units on order for about 8 weeks or so now..(delay due to some issue with US Customs??)

Whats this i'm reading about the fact that you have to remove the swingarm?!? Why is this?

In order to mount the rearsets you have to remove the swingarm bolt (thats what holds the rearsets on)

Actually, I realised that 2 seconds after I posted..thanks anyway!

I changed a broken standard footpeg with another unit & only took the nut off, but I forgot, to change the other peg will require the removal & reinstallation of the bolt!

Squids mistake sorry!!!!!
