Rear Brake Reservoir Delete
Bored trying to figure out the thermo housing removal so I fitted the HRC rear brake reservoir delete kit.
Might relocate braided brake line and shorten it up but for now it works. http://i1000.photobucket.com/albums/...pscjxbpzaf.jpg http://i1000.photobucket.com/albums/...pshbkcu1mp.jpg Now back to the thermo housing conundrum! |
Does there need to be all that hose and brake fluid? I wonder how much fluid is actually needed when the pads need to be changed. There's something you can do if your bored again!

Definitely going to shorten it.
Need to reposition the brake hose to be able to use it to fasten the tube to. Have had that part sitting there for ages. Have a few other bits as well that will occupy me. Don't know why HRC make it so long in the first place! |

Have done this to my other bike. You really don't need much fluid for a reservoir.

How much weight does this save?
My bike is going on a diet. |
Shameless plug: i'll be selling some more HRC style reservoir deletes soon :)

To my way of thinking it's those one of because you can type mods.
Looks different, only those that are really into bikes will pick it. Weight saving? Faark all in my book. I do like the look though. The first time I saw this mod was at a bikers haunt at Robertson on the Highlands in N.S.W Australia and it was on a Husqvarna Nuda 900R. I asked the guy what it was all about and he said I just did it because it looked good. Then I saw the HRC kit and thought I will do that. The back brake is shithouse on the VTR and this doesn't make it work any better but I think it looks better. James, what sort of tubing are you going to use? |
Tygon 2375.
