please, a confort seat?
please, a confort seat?
Hello, I am looking for a new more confort seat for my Superhawk, the original seat is terrible to long travels. Anyone knows someone? Thanks a lot and regards from Spain.

describe long travels. I did 1000 miles in 20 hours on the stock seat this fall with no problems. I also did 2700 in five days on it and wasn't beat from the seat. I was more beat up from the stock pegs.
Thanks for your answers, the problem is that my girlfriend says that seat is too hard when she goes too much time in it.
I remember that I saw and English online shop with "touring" seats for the Superhawk, but I canīt remind it!
I think the best solution is rebuilt the original seat, like says nuhawk.

Comfort is somewhat subjective, but the upgrade is always better.
You and your SO will feel better if you're both wearing gel / seamless bicycle shorts. You might also consider a gel or sheepskin cover or (for longer rides) a beaded mat. I bought (but have never used) a cheap gel mat used for ATVs at Wal-Mart that I saw mentioned on a vintage motorcycle site and it straps fine on the SH. I think it was $15.
I did an Iron Butt (Saddlesore) on a Hawk GT and am looking forward to doing more on the SH, after I get the CCT and rectifyer sorted. For really long hauls, I usually have several different mats / covers that I switch out so my *** doesn't get used to one and move around on the seat. Not sure how good this advise is for a passenger, though.

Pictures of the trip? I don't have any. It was 1,100 miles in 24 hours, and I ended up asleep in a Connecticut rest area at 4 a.m. shivering my a$$ off. There was no time for pictures. I could send you a shot of the plastic plate and silly sticker I got
It wasn't as difficult as it sounds. The hardest part was the differences in weather as I made my way to New England. It was spring and I forgot how cold it could get up that way when the sun goes down. The Hawk GT has even worse range than the Superhawk, but I got refueling down to a science after the 4th time.

I'll have to check out that gel pad for mama, even with the corbin, she gets antsy before I need gas.
Ah, well, 100mph on a 400lb, naked Hawk GT is like 150mph on the SH. I shot up 81 to Scranton, easily the most lonely, desolate piece of asphalt I know of, and the side of the road was peppered with dead deer the whole way up. After 10 p.m. the only thing you see on that road are big rigs and deer moving around in the darkness. It was a very bad trip in some ways, but in others it was the best ride I've ever been on. A solid day in the saddle sure does give you a lot of time to think.
