need a new windscreen..smoked or lite smoke?

I do quite a bit of night time riding, as I got to work at 2am.. is the Dark smoke too dark for night driving? I am looking at both, and I prefer the dark smoke for looks, however I need to be able to see..lol

whats your thoughts?

Use the FORCE.....

I have not used a tinted screen, but I have wondered that myself.

Dark smoke is fine. I've got one on mine. Unless you lay on the tank at night and try to look thru the screen, in which case you need a commuter.

I dont, I was just curious how i would effect vision if any.

Yeah, I have a Zero Gravity windscreen in dark smoke and I don't look through it unless i'm in full tuck.

If you never look through it, its clarity will never be an issue. The dark smoke gives better color continuity across the front of the bike. I thought it made the mirrors and the screen more of a unit.

Word of note, some riders report that on hot days the dark smoke builds up some mighty temps on the guage cluster. Mighty hot is like melting the cluster hot.

It takes hours and my bike is never parked "for hours" if I'm out for a ride. If you are out for a long afternoon event just throw your jacket over the screen and you should be good. I stuff my helmet in under the tent and the gas tank keeps everything cool.

This assumes you can park close enough to watch your goods.

I had both from zero gravity on mine. The dark smoke is hard to see through. But like someone else said, unless you're laying on the tank where you would need to see through it then it won't matter.

I just put a dark smoke screen on mine a few weeks ago. I never really look through the windscreen. Even when I take a really aggressive posture, I am not looking through the screen so its fine. Looks good too. Next will be the black pigspotter mirrors!
