Muffler hangers without footpegs

Does anyone know where I can get aftermarket exhaust hangers without footpegs?
thanks-

Google "superhawk exhaust hangers" and the top left picture is a pair from Projection Racing. Also "firestorm exhaust hangers" on ebay.co.uk and there are at least 2 different pairs for sale there. That took about 30 seconds so if you search around I'm sure you can find more options.

Well sir, yes, I have heard of this Google thing. In fact I used it extensively before coming to the forum with my question. All I've found, and all of what you've mentioned, are for high mount cans. Mine are low mount. Thanks for your time.

Actually wasn't trying to be a wiseass. Just did a quick search for you and was saying I'm sure you can find more if you keep looking. Those ARE "aftermarket exhaust hangers without footpegs," you didn't specify high or low. BUT, if you're looking to eliminate your passenger pegs those will work fine. Standard mount midpipes will rotate up enough to work with those (they may be for "high" but not "ultra high" like LeoVince or Devil) and also give you a cool "low to high" look like an RC51. I and several others have done it before.

And by the way I took another look at the ones on ebay.co.uk and those both appear to be standard mount brackets.

Another free option I've also seen done would be to simply remove the footpegs and cut off the brackets that held them. A little grinding and some sanding and polishing will finish them off. So you'd have the stock hangers just minus the footpegs.

I have a set of said Projection Component low-mount hangers (have been powdercoated black) that I am looking to part with. If interested drop me a line.

I have projection high mount hangers and with a bit if fiddling they fit.

Have been on the bike for a few years now with no problems.

Here's how they look .

Hope this helps.

Don't mean to be rude or burst any bubbles, but from what I can tell those are the standard/low mounts (only ones made by PC; ie. identical to mine).

Funny you say that,

I was worried when I bought them from the dreaded flea bay as they were listed by projection as high mount and I was thinking that because I had just ordered a new set of cans and link pipes that I was going to have to do some major mods to get them to fit.

I did have to fiddle a bit but got it all to work. I took the measurements from the standards as compared to what I now have and from memory the cans were about 3 " higher and located closer to the bike.

Here is another view from the rear that accentuates the difference over standard . Sorry it's on an angle as my rear stand is under another bike at the moment.

Sorry it's a bit dark in the man cave at the moment but you should get the idea. The distance from the rear cowl to the can is somewhat diminished.

If you can't see that here is a pic of a standard VTR.

Granted they are not as high as some but they are higher than standard.

It's not a bother to me as I prefer the more traditional look rather than the really high mounts like staintune etc.

Better shot from a distance, notice how you can clearly see the rear disc and caliper whereas on the standard bike you can't.

The bike on the right definitely has high mounts eh!

Maybe one day !

bought a few items from Simon over the years, including the HRC ignition box (which he found for me) as well as the famed Zcoo brake pads (which Ken now has). Great guy to deal with.....
