Integrated Tailights not working ??

Guys -
I bought a clear integrated tailight off of Ebay

(sorry to bring up this topic again) :horse:

OK I have searched all the previous threads , relating to this
BUT here is my problem >>
I plugged it in and it lights up but one of the vertical LED's is not working and another vertical seems dim compared to others ...
signals work
the dam F-IN Brake light doesn't !!
Im wondering if its faulty ...
I have one of the original bulbs in the other socket and it lights up !
Am I missing something ???

So frustrated right now ... if somebody can help would be greatly appreciated !!

Thank you !!

try turning the plug over and plugging in the other way. mine was messed up because i had screwed up the front signal wiring. not quite the same symptoms but worth checking out if you made any changes there.

Could be some faulty solder joints on the LED board. If you're handy with a soldering iron you could go over them and heat them up to be sure you have good connections.

Sounds like a faulty circuit board. They are cheap Chinese junk, being DOA shouldn't be too surprising. ;)

If it was one of the real cheap ones you could keep it and take it apart. Try to fix it or mod it with some LEDs from radioshack or an auto parts place. I took mine apart to see how involved it would be to fix, but it ended up not broke. Fortunately I like taking things apart and almost like putting them back together.

I emailed Dragon Bros and explained the situation , they are sending another Tailight ....

I was a bit surprised , I thought I had to send the faulty one back then they would send a new one ... which would take 5 weeks before I see the replacement .

Gives you an idea how much the part costs them... 1$? My cheap one seems decent enough and works fine, although I wouldn't expect to find one on an MV Augusta.

Im having a similar problem, except my brake light and right signal work but the left signal doesn't. I switched the wiring around and that only caused the right to blink when my switch was turned left. Don't know if its my bike's wiring or the light itself.
