Engine paint color code

Hey all....

Just wondering if anyone knows a paint code or aftermarket paint color (duplicolor, etc) for the transmission cases. I have a few areas I'd like to touch up, and would prefer not to have to mask and spray the whole thing.... any help would be greatly appriciated as always!!!

BTW... it's '98 if that makes a difference.... I know the outer covers look different on certain models, but I'm more interested in the actual transmission cases/heads.

J.

Duplicolor t90 is really close. If you find something more exact, let us know. I just received a new alternator cover and apparently the newer ones are a greenish color, so I'm planning to paint it at some point...

I couldn't give you an exact match but FWIW I did some touch ups awhile back and decided to screw around with the can of dark silver/gray metallic that was bumper paint for my old Ford Taurus. Sounds silly but I slowly added black, dabbed it on an old piece of engine cover I had, let it dry, and kept doing it until my dabs dissappeared and I got an exact match. I guess those color theory classes in college payed off.

An easy option is probably to simply take the cover to a decent body shop and have them scan & match up the color. I recently had some fairings painted on my '99 and the body shop was able to spray probably a 98% match of the shining pearl yellow for less than the cost of buying the paint alone from colorrite.
