Dual headlights for the Hawk
I've seen several pictures over the last year of Superhawks with dual head lights, does anyone know where I can find a kit to do that or is it a fab yourself kinda thing.

Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
I'd try these guys. The pic up is not of the SH, but if you scroll down to the bottom, they have one set up with the dual headlights.

Is this what you are refering to?

I've seen some others from europe, but have no idea where to try to purchase them in the USA. |
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
In my opinion, it makes the SH look like an old generation gixer or yamaha fzr. I wouldn't do that mod to my bike.
my 2 cents. |
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
The sound coming from my carbon fiber cans should clear up any confusion about it being one of the cookie cutter crotch rockets
|
Too bad it doesn't look more like the old ducati and less like the old gixxer...

This I find the most beatiful dual headlight I have ever seen on a VTR.The lights are from an older NSR125.
|
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
This is suh-weeeeet! 8)
I think that being able to graft a 125 two stroke fairing to our bikes that doesn't look out of place at all says volumes about how swelvt and light looking the VTR really is. |
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk

The fairing is not from the 125 only the lights.
I will try to look up where the fairing comes from. I do think its not that beatiful as the Mario Nava one. attached the nsr 125 |
my only question on the yellow one is how do you reach the choke knob?
Was thinking of doing something similar with my race upper, except maybe just a headlight on one side endurance racing style. I read a post on a cbr board about adding a headlight from a Peugout scooter, looked pretty sweet. |
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
I am not sure if it is of any interest, but quite cool twin-light RC-style fairing available from quite popular in France company LM Productions. 910 Euro unpainted.
Here is details: http://www.lm-production.com/photos-...tr_baudoin.htm http://www.lm-production.com/IMAGES/...ut_1000vtr.htm http://www.lm-production.com/photos-...7ois/VTR_1.jpg http://www.lm-production.com/photos-...7ois/vtr_2.jpg |
All these good looking bikes makes me want to start fixing mine up more. I bought mine with white plastic and a red gas tanks and haven't been able to decide what to do with it exactly. Yeah I like those dula headlights that aren't round. They sort fo remind me of a 2000 600 ninja though.
|
That looks pretty cool. I'd like to see the tail and the exhaust though.
Too bad its made in France, I'd never buy anything from france. |

Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
They also have an interesting "lower" available with lights.

Lighten up on the French...I agree, they've been weak lately. & boycott if you must. I know it's been a while, but remember, they did bail us out during the Revolutionary War!

That would be cdyer77 earlier in the thread.
|
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
Never say you hate the French or will boycott them until you take a walk down the Champs de Lysse (spl?) in Paris and see...no, behold their stunning women.
ITS TRUE WHAT THEY SAY!! |
That they don't shave and shower?
IIRC, it's "Champs Elysses" (shaaamz elly zay) |
I wont comment on the french anymore as this isnt a political thread. Thats another topic for another time.
|
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
O.K. I'm in love...
|
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
except for the 250 light setup, the round dual headlight looked a lot like the 93-95 cbr 900rr 's , so no... too much of old school.

this is from mario nava's website. Don't know what the setup is, but I like3 it. |
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
I have the Powerbronze win headlights but am going to save up some cash for the fairing from these guys :
http://www.thurn-motorsport.de/vtr.html Will buy the NSR headlights from a breakers yard though ! They are asking far too much ! |
Mario's set up uses Peugot scooter headlights. I had thought about mounting a set in a sharkskins upper.
Check out Peugot's website and you can find the US dealer (in Fla) if I remember correctly) |
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
you can order the powerbronze dual headlight kit from these guys:
http://www.2wheeljunkie.com/store/Sc...Category=10552 they also have p-bronze lowers and pyramid lowers . . . |

Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
hey can anyone lemme know about the voltage rateing on the lighting system? I want to try to set up a duel headlight set up with a set of HID fog lights....no fairing, street fighter style......what kind of wiring will I be looking at?
|
Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
I don't have the electrical system specs in front of me but I have seen dual HID lights on the VTRs before.

Re: Dual headlights for the Hawk
Apparently HID systems use way less power. If you find out if our systems can handle auxillary lights let me know cause I want to put some in.

Hi Guys.
I know this is an old thread, but does anyone know where to buy the NSR fairing for the VTR SC36/Superhawk...? Iīve been looking for it for a while now and the only company Iīve found sofaar wonīt even answer my email. So I guess it means they donīt exist anylonger. /Piff |
|
Thanks, but thatīs exactly where Iīve sent my E-mail. No response unfortunately. All I wanted was to know if theyīve still got them and if I can order from Sweden. Damn Germans...! :o(
|
I actually had good luck with them. I ordered the luggage rack and they were very accommodating.
Add "Guten Tag" instead of "Dear" and "Danke" instead of "thanks". =) |
Hmmm, I guess that means that I have to send them another E-Mail. Perhaps even ask my Dutch friend to write it in German. I really want that fairing.
Has it been a long time since you ordered from them...? |
