Custom (white) gauge face?

Does anyone know if it`s possible/where to buy a white speedo cover for the earlier (mine is a 99) VTR gauge assembly? I have looked around but have had no luck in finding one.

cheers

I've had pretty good luck with the spray paints that are specific to painting plastic. You could try buying an ebay gauge cover and paintig it.

Thanks. I am hoping to find a simple sticker that I can lay over the current dark backdrop and be done with it.

This guy does custom stuff that looks really nice. He might be able to do something in a simple white if you want.

I repainted the surround myself, but got the gauge faces done professionally. removing and re-installing the needles requires equipment.

It is one of those mods that almosty nobody notices unless you tell them, but adfds to the overall finished look of a custom bike. If one part is left stock then it stands out against the modified parts.

In my case I painted the surround in wrinkle finish black, and the gauges were changed to black. I wanted white but that was too tricky to do for them. This is the only pic I have of it, shame it is not much good!

Thanks for sharing. The detail and workmanship on your bike never fail to amaze me :)

Well that answers a question I had wondered, what part of Shayne's bike isn't modified.
