I didn't like the ones you could buy, so I built one. I build airplanes for work, so I just used the same materials and techniques for it.

I am all for custom work! This one gives me new ideas now, so far here is mine several years back.

 

Nice use of the flush fasteners. Looks pretty good. How did you roll the skins and what material metal wise did you use? I am a fellow aircraft mechanic myself and licensed A&P.

I have exactly the same D&D pipes as you. Do you wear earplugs on long rides? I bounce over 93dB at low idle - after riding several hours my ears will ring the rest of the day. Bloody loud!!
