crank cover color
 

I dumped the bike today! and of course the Superhawk I've had a week and not the XJ that has already been dumped a bunch of times. At a stop sign on a hill so I was going 1 mile an hour so no injuries thankfully. I'm so mad at myself. No major damage. scratched handlebar end, crank cover, and mirror and bent front brake handle.

What color is the crank case cover it looks dark grey where do I find paint?
Also what is the best way to fix bent brake handle?

I've heard that you can freeze the brake lever and bend it back without it breaking. You can find levers cheap enough on ebay, too.

Hmm, I would think heating it would make it softer and easier to bend back... I have done it with aluminum parts before to reshape them.

Yeah I should have heated it because I broke the damn thing. I just got done with a metallurgy class too.
I have it JB welded in the crack and 2 strips of metal JB'ed to front and back for temporary use.

Anyone have a click n' roll lever, how do they work? They better be nice for 90 bucks!

I'll probably just get a stock one on ebay and get some or make some frame sliders.

I'm still pissed at myself :(

I've bought a few salvages with bent levers and I've found if I wrap them in a towel (prevents scratches, dents) put them in a vise and VERY SLOWLY apply pressure to straighten the the lever out, 9 out of ten times they usually straighten out fine.(if they break so what? They were f***ed up already!) Then I wet sand the lever to get rid the minor road rash. This also works for shifters, footpegs, etc. unless they're chromed or really ground up.
