I have an 03 996 in the OEM red color. I've also got a set of 05 CBR1000rr front forks to go on it. I was looking on ebay, and there are several OEM red fenders for the 1000, and a few black ones. I'm wondering if the CBR red is close enough (hopefully identical?) to the VTR red to use, or if I will need to repaint or go with the CBR black one??

 

I think a black painted fender looks cool. I liked the look from the older gsxr's, and I did it with a yellow '99 I just sold. If you want to check paint codes go to colorrite.com. They reds may be different but that'll confirm it for you. Sorry I'm too lazy to look it up for you right now...

 

They are different enoungh that it looks funny... Go with the black one...

 

Black goes with anything anyhow....
