Bicycle speedo wired or wireless?
So as you know the late model speedometer is all but impossible to read at speed, at least for me it is. I realize this has been discussed.
I read several old threads that involved dash replacement, some using Koso and others Trailtech speedo's. I didn't want to do a full dash replacement, so was looking for a small digital speedo. Koso does make the XR-S, for around $110 bucks or so. And I like the fact it is backlighted, don't know if it will fit above my tach yet. If I decide to forego the backlight, I am thinking of going with a Sigma Bicycle computer, as some of you have, either Mdl. BC 8.12, BC 12.12, or BC 1009. My question is would it be prudent to go wired vs. wireless? Do I need to be concerned with RF or other interference from engine? I thought I read where someone went wireless, but do I just play it safe and go wired? Thanks much |
Go Wired, the battery life in the wireless one is bad (10hours max), I use to sell Sigma speedos here in OZ, and was always getting complaints

10-4 thanks, quick question, is the BC-1009 just the 2009 model of the BC 8.12 and 12.12? Appreciate it!
