I was wondering if the rear seat cowl will work with the Corbin seat? It seems that there will be a gap between the cowl and the actual seat. I'm looking for any help with this. I want a rear cowl but not to sure if it will be a OEM fit, or as tight with the stock seat.

I've heard they sit a bit higher with the Corbin. I have a Sargent and it fits well, not to mention the Sargent is significantly lighter than the Corbin.

Just checked mine. 3/8 gap all around between seat cowl and rear plastic. My bikes been tweaked bad so may not be typical. Does not look like all the gap could be adjusted out by playing with seat mount or fairing, but could likely be improved. A beat stock seat came with my bike too, and it was significantly flatter in the back so cowl likely fit better. Pic in my album is too small and my green and black paint doesn't show that stuff much. Corbin is somewhat heavy.

corbin and sargeant are better than stock of course. most peopole prefer the sargeant for comfort reasons, less weight and better fit. that being said, I have a corbin, and I can tell you what I like about it vs. stock. its more supportive, when I hang off on a corner, it feels like my leg is locked in place. the stock one feels like you are fliding all over. your junk doesn't get jammed up against the tank. it is significantly harder than the stocker, but not so bad that its a problem. some people have complained that it doesn't fit well, but that isn't an issue with mine. I have the rear cowl on my bike, and never noticed any "gap" until other people asked about it. not an issue as far as I'm concerned. it is alot heavier than stock, but I never really cared about that either. I'll save weight elsewhere.

I bought a used corbin off of a guy on ebay that was old and slightly scuffed, but I went for it anyway because it was cheap. I was super excited to get off my pain in the ass (literally) stock seat, but i soon realized that the Corbin totally sucked! I was surprised, because I rode my friend's Transalp with a Corbin and it felt great, but this one was hard as a rock and made my right ass muscle super sore on long trips. Another problem I found was that the cowl didn't fit even close to right...my corbin didn't even have the little nubs on the bottom for the tabs on the cowl to grab onto. I haven't tried a sargent personally, but from what I hear they're the business. Eventually I'll end up with a brand new sargent, but for now, I'll stick with stock

There doesnt look like there is a gap at all. Which Corbin seat do you have on the bike or does it even matter? Now the task of finding a cheap cowl......
