Aluminum Chain Guard?

While I have this bike all tore down, I would really like to replace the stock plastic chain guard. If I can't find one I real tempted not to put it back on at all! I don't wear floppy jeans and most of the time boots so getting hung up in it is not an issue. Do any of you know where I might find one? I don't want CF, Kevlar, fiberglass, or ABS - well, unless it looks like metal - I want it to look like an extension of/part of the swing arm not just something that along for the ride.

I notice them on e-bay pretty regularly. So added weight (over stock) doesn't bug you?

Hey, Darren! Thanks, no the added weight doesn't bother me - can't be that much if any. I've seen some shorties that are only a few inches long and drilled. I just can't remember where and I can't stand the look of the stocker!

Some huggers have a built in chain guard that looks more seemless than just adding an aftermarket chain guard.

Thanks, Darren! That's not as short as the ones I saw (they only went back to the leading edge of the tire and were drilled) but this one certainly is better than the POS black plastic. I'm only 165# so I'm not concerned about a couple ounces here or there. IIRC the one I saw was from a small company like this but was a "racing" chain guard. Thanks, again, for the link!

I'll post up if I see something like that. I troll e-bay entirely too much.

You can get a really nice aluminum chain guard from www.jdacustom.com
It has VTR cut out and looks really nice. Bolts right up to factory holes. Cost around $45.00

Superbikestore.com has some CF stuff and more body work than most sites for the Superhawk.
