Advise for Fairing Swap
 

I'm ready to order new fairings and plan do lots of mods to my 99 Superhawk but not sure exactly what fairings to order. Rc51 is typical but would like to put 05 CBR1000rr Motogp Fairings on. Can anyone tell me if this may not work. I can make the mounting brackets. Besides 1000rr fairings being more bulkier, what's the difference from 600rr?

Might I suggest finding said bike/s, say at a showroom, and taking a tape measure to it/them to get a back-of the-envelope idea of the dimensions in comparison to your hawk.

From the measurements I believe it will fit. May have to trim a rounded edge from lower around rearsets but not a problem. Would hate to waste a lot of money if something else was to go wrong.
