That's what I was thinking.

For the members that have already posted, go in and edit with the format info stated in the rules, please. This way maybe we can have a real VTROTM for a change.

Wolverine 06-01-2017 09:44 AM

I can change the title....

Wolverine 06-02-2017 06:02 AM

Fabiostar, post up a link to, or in your entry some of the details of that rare bird. Thanks
MIPR, please finish fleshing out the details of your bike, as per the instructions. Thanks.
OCD attack, sorry.

kenmoore 06-05-2017 02:11 AM

Should this be made into the Bi Monthly VTR of the month?

A play on words I know but hey,

Where are all the members bikes?

I have refrained from posting mine as no one else does.

Fabio has lifted the bar that's for sure !

Come on guys , any VTR is worth looking at !

ok folks some of the details about this bike. be prepared to be bored to death lol..

honda/spondon/moriwaki made 6 of these bad boys.they were used in british superbikes and world endurance racing. 5 have been accounted for over the years. and by a stroke of luck i found the missing chassis in a shed in the wild west of southern ireland... the mori motor has been removed at some stage tho i know were it is and when funds allow im buying it.

engine at the min, from what i can tell has. ignition advancer, short intake stacks, heads ported.dyno jet kit fitted to carbs.superlight flywheel. 4 exhaust cams fitted.manual cam adjusters.

the bits that were still in situ .
spondon braced frame
spondon endurance swingarm,
proflex rear shock
roger d forks.
oversize dymag wheels.
then i added. digi speedo ,carbon engine covers. carbon fender extender, scorpian high rise link pipes, yoshi cans, lightweight clipons. enduance single head light fairing. preload adjusters. repolished the frame. lightweight rearsets on adaptor plates. mori belly pan,all extra wiring removed. brembo front brake calipers. 07 blade master cylinder. rear single seat unit. a lot of little brackets and stuff to make it all fit. and prob more i forgot about.

its bust my knuckles and broke my heart at times but. it is what it is. its a spondon vtr race bike with some bits missing from the original bike that i now know the history of.. to say im chuffed is and understatment.

it has been confirmed by the chassis number and the extra numbers the race team put on it as one of the race bikes and was ridden by Paul marra Brown and Steve Plater at some stage...

and it was ALWAYS gona be painted in mori blue..:D:D:D

I can understand why no one else is posting, hell , I have a great bike that has taken me 5 years to build it to where it is at now and yours is just astounding.

You must be very happy and proud. What a feat to resurrect a piece of VTR history and get to ride it as well.

That is one nice bike !

Awesome.
