Here come the mods! Congrats on the new bike, I have a 98 I bought new it's still a great motorcycle.
If they ever get the inter-island ferry system running I'm bringing my SHawk to the Big Island. It must be great to have a little space to let it run free! Noah In Honolulu (the small island) |

the modifications have begun! Jardine high-mounts installed. man, these things sound great! The guys on Harleys look at me like "what the hell is THAT?!?"
Also, I installed Goodridge kevlar front brake lines (but you can't see that in this picture). http://home.hawaii.rr.com/skier/IMG_0111.JPG |
cool!
Looks great!
I love my RT-one high-mounts too! 8) TJ 8) |
clear day!
Check out how clear it was in Hilo today! The mountain in the background is Mauna Kea (summit over 14,000 feet).

halfway up
This picture is from about halfway up Mauna Kea. This picture was taken at the turnoff to the summit (about 6000-7000 feet). I trekked up to the observatory visitor center (9200 feet) today. The mountain in the background is still Mauna Kea (just closer to the summit).

SHAWK at altitude
Do you still have the stock air filter and jetting on your s-hawk? Did you go up to the observatory? How was it running at altitude? I think it's about 13,500 feet above sea level up there! :D

the bike looks great. so what is next on the mod list? |
Re: SkyBoy's SuperHawk
My wife and I vacationed in Hawaii a couple of months ago. Wow, the
place is paradise. I'm jealous. We hiked Kilauea. It's like being on another planet. The lava flows were pretty incredible too. Looking forward to your pics. Chris P.S. Bike looks great too! |
