My latest project

Thought I'd share my latest project. Brought it home a few years back when I wasn't working full time and recently finished her up. I wrote a book in the Craigslist and Ebay ad that'll go live tonight (figure that's a much bigger market and have already lost my patience with local idiots after a day and half lol) so I won't bore everyone here. Posting more just to share but if anyone's interested I'll post up the links. 1994 FZR1000. Put a ton of work into her and did everything myself besides the carb rebuild (thanks Ron @ Blais Cycle). I know I'm getting older but she sure hauls *** for an old girl. Still looks pretty good too. Hope you like it.

27k miles. Yeah pictures make it look almost brand new. I'm a little OCD but I stressed in the ad that it's not perfect or a time capsule (as people often like to claim in their for sale ads). Has a little "patina" and some scratches and blemishes here and there. But this one just sold on Ebay for $5400 (!) and it's kind of a turd.

The eBay creampuff looks to have a fuzzy seat. Your FZR ain't **** if it doesn't have a fuzzy seat.

Yeah that's the South Beach seat. That was a rare factory option at all participating Miami dealers.

HAHA actually I am. But that used to be a thing back in the day. The Zoo Crew and the Starboyz and then everyone else started covering their bikes with fur and stuff.

Well I didn't ride it too much actually. For the riding I did it was surprisingly smooth (again he did a REALLY nice job with the carbs) and powerful. Had that old school "sit down in it" feel of big 80's and 90's sportbikes. Didn't want to ride it too much or too hard though as it did have old tires on it and I also just didn't want to temp fate as the point of the project was to sell it when it was done, which I did. Will always have a soft spot for that era of bikes though as far as the looks go.
