Thanks you made me feel better knowing I'm not alone. My pride and joy '98 superhawk has been sitting 95% finished in the corner of my garage for probably 6 years now...hope to finish it after this year when I'm done with school. Having said that we would still love to see yours finished!

I'm also on a heavy project on my VTR and I get to the end, and when I look at your work, I like what you did, the tail is very nice, I hate to see more

it is my understanding, but the inking two points are very close to the plans, they are not too close? it carries a large lever arm on hardware, it does not give too much flexibility in the assembly?

Nice! That almost looks like a solid chunk of aluminum. Pretty cool looking. That part, are you going to paint it or polish it, or...?

Hawkster, You must have another bike.

In the middle of your build I really liked the front header pipe.
The way that it wrapped around was classic.

Why did you go away from that style of pipe?

Still many things to be admired.

I am flattered that we tied.

Come on man, get it on the road.

I have a new Tuono V4 coming in May but the HAWK stays.

We, or I am watching this build with much anticipation.

Motorcycle ****

Just a quick question. Like you, I'm making carb brackets out of carbon fiber. How thick is the CF you made yours from? Judging from the pictures, it looks like almost 3/16" or thicker. I ended up going with 1/8".

I can't wait untill you get your bike on the road! Seeing your updates lights a fire under my *** to get the little projects done on my bike.

Keep at in man!

This is incredible. If you can get that front fairing to line up with the tail section like in the splice you will have a such a sick look.

Thank you. And I'm sorry. I didn't see you already answered that back in post #82 or #83. I'm a putz sometimes.

I've seen someone make thier motorcycle subframe out of carbon fiber rods and it looks pretty sweet.

Just a thought,

Fit an electric water-pump and you won't need a thermostat!

Davies Craig make a good one.

Geeze Hawkter,

Sorry to hear that, cash is a bit short for me as well at the moment.

Effect tax man.

I am selling other toys at the mo to make it through.

I have been in this position and feel your pain.

We have to do what we do, but are you sure it has to go.

I was looking forward to doing battle with you again next year in bike of the month.

I wish you well, and if you do sell please stay on this forum and let us know how you are getting on.

Cheers and good luck mate.

Hope it all works out for you.

i had a sewer break in the basement several parts got ruined.
left front rc51 caliper
clutch, front brake and rear brake masters all full of fecal matter.
along with the rear caliper.
starter motor also.

so once again i am in need of all bar related parts.
starter and rear brake setup.

i really do not want to part it out.
frame only works with the modifications ive made.
so i have made the decision to keep it and do what i can.
progress will be slow,i need to find housing 1st.
but i have ordered some more small parts and done a lil work on tail.
